About CYNTHIATRIN
A Rwandan agribusiness growing with a purpose.
Our story
Founded in December 2023, CYNTHIATRIN Co Ltd is a Rwandan agribusiness specialising in organic crop protection, growing media and beekeeping.
The business began with a clear objective: to develop practical agricultural solutions that help farmers improve production while reducing unnecessary environmental harm.
Our first agricultural product was an organic pesticide developed using garlic and chilli. From that foundation, CYNTHIATRIN expanded into organic growing media and beekeeping.

Our founder
Mutoniwase Cynthia
Founder, CYNTHIATRIN Co Ltd
After completing her studies in 2023, Mutoniwase Cynthia moved into entrepreneurship with a vision of building practical solutions for farmers while creating a business capable of generating employment and environmental impact.
Her journey began with organic crop protection and expanded into organic growing media and beekeeping.
“Our ambition is not only to sell agricultural products. We want to build a business that helps farmers grow, creates jobs, protects our environment, and demonstrates what sustainable agribusiness from Rwanda can achieve.”
Our five-year vision
Over the next five years, CYNTHIATRIN aims to establish beekeeping as a major pillar of the company while continuing to develop organic crop protection and organic growing media.
Our longer-term vision includes developing a beekeeping activity in a tourism-oriented setting where visitors can learn about bees, honey production, pollination, biodiversity, and sustainable agriculture.
- Expand commercial beekeeping and honey production.
- Create additional jobs for young people and women.
- Support farmers through pollination and agricultural knowledge.
- Strengthen environmental conservation.
- Develop value-added bee products.
- Reach larger domestic and regional markets.
- Create educational and tourism experiences around beekeeping.
International training & innovation
In September 2026, CYNTHIATRIN founder Mutoniwase Cynthia participated in a three-week beekeeping industry development capacity-building programme in Changsha, Hunan Province, China.
The programme provided exposure to beekeeping industry development, agricultural technologies, value addition, production systems, and approaches that can contribute to rural economic development.
For CYNTHIATRIN, international exposure is valuable when knowledge can be adapted to local realities. Our objective is to translate relevant lessons into better beekeeping practices, stronger production systems, improved farmer knowledge, and long-term business growth in Rwanda.

Market experience
CYNTHIATRIN has built market experience through direct customer engagement, agricultural exhibitions, periodic markets, farmer networks, and business development programmes.
Our products have been presented at agricultural and business events in Rwanda, providing opportunities to interact directly with farmers, consumers, institutions, and potential partners.
This experience helps us understand customer needs, improve our products, test market demand, and identify opportunities for expansion.
Invest & partner
CYNTHIATRIN is transitioning from an early-stage agribusiness toward a more scalable enterprise.
